Cindy Hickman Ray is originally from
Wilmington. She graduated from Hoggard High School in
1973. Cindy and her husband have returned to North
Carolina after living in Charlotte, in South Carolina,
and in Maryland. She graduated with honors, earning a
Master of Science in Pastoral Counseling from Loyola
College in Maryland. Currently, she is enrolled at
Campbell University Divinity School working on a track
towards a Doctorate of Ministry. Cindy is licensed by the North
Carolina Board of Licensed Professional Counselors.
She specializes in secondary stress.
In addition to the other services listed, Marriage
counseling is a large part of the practice. Cindy
has training in the Prepare/Enrich Inventory and
uses this program with premarital couples and some
married couples. She and her husband, Jim, also
are the only trained Dynamic Marriage
Class facilitators in southeast, NC. Churches may
host the classes and the Ray's facilitate this
exciting growth opportunity for many couples. For

Cindy's background in
healthcare compliments her psychotherapy practice
encouraging clients to consider proactive,
preventive lifestyle choices. As a cancer survivor
she has personal insight to the physical and
emotional struggles a person may encounter with
chronic and acute disease.
